  • What type of items need to be flame proofed?

  • If I am having an item made should I flame proof before or after it is completed?

After fabrication, the certificate description can be more accurate than pre-fabrication.

  • Can some items not be flame proofed?

Our product line and flame proofing application has allowed success in all projects we have encountered.

  • How do I calculate the approximate cost for flame proofing?

By Measuring the item that is being flame proofed and contact our office for an estimate.

  • Will flame proofing change the appearance or feel of my item?

Delta Pacific's Product will not have a notable change in appearance or feel.

  • How long will a service like this take?

It will be dependent upon the size (yardage/sq. ft.) of the project and our schedule an average of 3 to 5 days.

  • What will happen if I consider not to have the required flame proofing performed on my items?

The item/project cannot be displayed as per Title 19 requirements. A fine or a forced removal will be implemented if not compliant.

  • Why is flame proofing necessary at an event, especially for the exhibitors?

To prevent fire and the spread of fire in a place of public assembly per Title 19.

  • What are the Title 19 requirements?

All decorative items, excluding exhibitor/vendor’s own items.

  • Do other cities or states require items to be flame proofed as well?

Yes. However, the name/title may be different but they all require decorative items at a place of public assembly be flame proofed.

  • Will the issued Flame Proofing Certificate received, after having had the flame proofing done in California be honored in other cities and states; theirs as well?

Yes. California’s flame proofing certificate is honored in all cities, states & countries. However, other state’s flame proofing certificate may not be honored in California.

  • Will flame proofing change the appearance or feel of the items?

Delta Pacific's Product will not have a notable change in appearance or feel.

  • Is this service going to be expensive?

What do you call expensive? Normally not expensive considering the consequence without doing the service.

  • How is an approximate cost calculated for the flame proofing?

By Measuring the item that is being flame proofed and contact our office for an estimate.

  • How soon before an event should I schedule for my flame proofing?

As soon as possible. There may be other exhibitors/vendors requiring the same service and to avoid a rush order charge and last minute preparations.

  • If I am having an item made should I flame proof before or after it is completed?

After fabrication, the certificate description can be more accurate than pre-fabrication.

  • If my booth or items are not flame proofed can they still be displayed in the event?

No.
